Spreading The Word

Has Rude Awakening made a difference in your life? Do you believe it would make a difference in the lives of others? If so, please consider the fact that word of mouth from a trusted friend is the best form of marketing available (and much more cost effective too). Please consider spreading the word about Rude Awakening in one or more of the following ways:

  1. Post a review on Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, Goodreads.com, and so forth. Each review counts, not just with potential readers, but also toward the algorithm that determines the book’s popularity. You don’t have to write a long review. In fact, sometimes the 2-3 sentence reviews are better because people are more likely to read them. You can still post a review on the aforementioned sites even if you bought the print book. However, if you purchase the eBook as well, your reviewed will be “certified” as an authentic buyer. Not a necessity, but it might help legitimize your review.
  2. Post links/thoughts on Facebook, Twitter, or your blog. Write about what you got out of the book and/or post a link to RudeAwakeningBook.com or the book’s video channels on YouTube or Vimeo.
  3. Connect on Facebook and Twitter and recommend to your social networking contacts that they do the same.
  4. Purchase the eBook as a gift for someone else. Instructions for gifting an eBook are HERE.
  5. Subscribe to the book’s email newsletter (see the right margin of this page) and forward the newsletters to your email lists, inviting each recipient to sign up and do the same.
  6. Recommend the book to your local book club or start your own in-home book study group.
  7. Ask your local bookstore or library to stock the book.
  8. Donate your book to a local prison ministry.
  9. Give your book to a public figure (i.e. pastor, ministry leader, author, artist/musician, athlete, radio/TV personality, politician, and so forth).
  10. Hand out book cards to people you meet at networking events.  (Use the contact form on this site to request the cards from the author. They are free of course.)
  11. Start a book-sharing revolution. Register your book at BookCrossing.com and then leave it somewhere. Bookcrossing will track its adventures.
  12. Give the book to a friend who needs the message.
  13. Give the book to a parent along with a thank-you note for what he/she has done for you.
  14. Pray and fast for those you know are reading the book.
